The Imprint Assessment
A Guide to Understanding Your Identity, Calling, and Creative Expression
Why Your Identity Shapes Everything You Build
Most of us don’t struggle with lack of talent.
We struggle with identity.
Jamie Winship tells a story of a leader telling him plainly:
“You don’t know who you are… because you’re imitating me.”
He had credentials, experience, and a calling, but no clarity of identity.
That moment reveals something true for every creative, entrepreneur, and leader:
When you imitate, you lose clarity.
When you live from identity, everything aligns.
That is the heart of the Imprint Assessment.
What the Imprint Assessment Is
The Imprint Assessment helps you uncover:
the identity God formed in you
the false roles or pressures shaping your work
the gap between who you’re becoming and who you’re imitating
It measures how aligned you are in four core areas:
Imprint — identity & assignment
Mountain — calling & direction
Inner World — formation & surrender
Overflow — the expression of your life and work
Together, they give a snapshot of your spiritual, creative, and vocational alignment.
THE FOUR PILLARS & WHY THEY MATTER
1. IMPRINT
“You are the only one who carries what you carry.”
This pillar uncovers how clearly you:
understand your identity
see your God-given assignment
resist or fall into comparison
create from who you’re becoming
know the people you’re called to serve
A low score isn’t failure.
It simply means imitation or confusion has been shaping you.
2. MOUNTAIN
“Clarity comes when you rise above the noise.”
This pillar reveals your sense of calling:
influence as stewardship
God in your strategy
faithfulness over visibility
eternal significance
clarity about the people or place you’re called to
When the Mountain score is low, you feel directionless.
When your score is high, your path becomes clear.
3. INNER WORLD
“God desires truth in your hidden places.”
This pillar measures the health of your unseen world:
silence and listening
busyness vs intimacy
peace with God’s pace
integrity between private and public life
surrendered outcomes
A low score here usually signals noise, hurry, or pressure.
A high score signals formation.
4. OVERFLOW
“Your brand becomes a witness when it flows from presence.”
This pillar measures what comes out of your life:
creativity flowing from partnership with God
obedience as freedom
life-giving work
sustainable rhythms
work that carries spiritual weight
When Overflow is aligned, others feel it.
Your work has clarity, life, and ease.
How the Scoring Works
There are 20 questions, five in each pillar.
Each question is scored 1–5.
Each pillar has a maximum of 25 points.
Your total score ranges from 0–100.
What scores actually mean
High score → alignment, clarity, freedom, identity
Low score → invitation, not judgment
Mid-range score → transition or partial formation
Every number reveals where God is forming you.
How to Interpret Your Results
Circle your lowest pillar. This is your growth doorway.
Ask: “What voice has shaped this part of me—God’s or someone else’s?”
Notice what feels tight or heavy. That’s usually where imitation or pressure is creeping in.
Choose one small practice (silence, journaling, confession, obedience, listening prayer, sabbath, etc.) The goal isn’t performance. It’s formation.
You’re not trying to score higher.
You’re learning to live truer.
Because your work flows from who you’re becoming.
If identity is unclear, your brand becomes noisy.
If calling is unclear, your decisions lose precision.
If your inner world is unsettled, your leadership becomes reactive.
If overflow is blocked, your work feels forced.
The Imprint Assessment helps you see:
where God is shaping you
where your voice is emerging
where alignment will unlock clarity
where purpose is pulling you forward
This isn’t a personality test.
It’s identity formation.
